Tribunal Fee Guide for Employers
Fees are charged according to the terms of business dependent on hourly rates (our hourly rates vary from £ 130.80 to £ 241.20 inclusive of VAT as of December 2018).
The costs of pursuing or defending a claim by the Employment Court will vary depending on the nature of the claim and the parties’ identity. Overall costs will range from £ 5,652 to £ 8,174.40 (inc VAT) for a basic one-day dismissal hearing that is unfair or unjust.
Most people who buy or sell a company do not consider the implications of this transaction for the workers currently working there. Under such conditions, the rules on the exchange of undertakings (TUPE) apply.
Failure to comply with TUPE can be a costly mistake to get wrong. A supplier shall be liable for £ 250 payment per worker if they do not provide the necessary information.
A buyer and seller are also mutually responsible for failing to inform and advise staff, with payment set at the employee’s salary for 13 weeks. This may rely greatly on the number of employees concerned.
Through handling the TUPE system on your behalf with the following, we will enable you to avoid costly issues:
- Step by step guidance and advice
- Template letters
- Election forms
- Consultation meeting notes and scripts
- On-site project management support where required
