Tim Haggar

My job is to help our clients achieve financial security for themselves and their loved ones.

This can be the result of complex family or business arrangements, unexpected windfalls or an award or settlement following litigation. As a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), I advise on all aspects of family and inheritance tax planning including advising our SME clients on succession planning and retirement. I am a member of the Camelot lottery winners panel which looks after winners of more than £500,000.

I am recognized locally as the leading solicitor in matters of financial planning. Since merging my own business, Rogers Haggar with the firm in 2006, I have personally helped clients manage portfolios worth upwards of £5million with a total figure many times that.

I take great pleasure from helping people to solve problems that would otherwise be very difficult and take the trust that they place in me very seriously. I believe that my strength lies in the practicality of my advice. This clarity and sense comes not just from my experience in dealing with high value, complex cases but also from running my own business.

Often my work involves looking after people who can no longer make decisions for themselves because they have lost mental capacity through an accident, ill health or old age. I advise clients whose children have learning disabilities and am regularly asked to speak at Mencap events. In 2011, I was appointed to the Court of Protection Panel of Professional Deputies and now act for over 55 clients across South Wales and the south west of England.

I have dealt with many complex issues with regard to the court of protection relating to statutory wills, personal injury trusts and specific welfare cases involving complex medical issues.

Having represented both Wales and the MCC at cricket, I enjoy keeping fit and following arsenal football club.

I live just outside Haverfordwest with my wife and 4 children.

A very friendly and efficient process through sensitive family matters.
