Jonathan Chubb
I was born in Pontypridd and educated at the local grammar school. I studied law at Aberystwyth where I obtained an LLM degree and was also President of the Student Law Society.
After further study at the College of Law in Guildford, I became an articled clerk with Dilwyn Jones & Sons in Llandrindod Wells and qualified as a solicitor in 1980.
I subsequently joined the firm of David & Snape in Porthcawl where I became a partner. Having gained wide experience in my early career I went on to specialise in property and private client work and also became responsible for the financial management of the practice.
When David & Snape became part of Red Kite Law LLP in October 2021 I became a Consultant and I now focus on commercial property work. I have been the solicitor for the Dunraven Welsh Estates for over 35 years and I also act for various farmers, property investors, developers, trading companies and private individuals.
From 2011 to 2014 I was Chairman of the Wales branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Prior to that I had spent twelve years as a governor of West Park Primary School in Porthcawl. I have been a trustee of Ty Elis (Porthcawl Counselling Service) since 2012.
I have been an active sportsman over the years and I am currently an enthusiastic parkrun tourist.
