Susan Grazier
I qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and joined Red Kite Law LLP as a partner in September 2024, bringing extensive experience to the agricultural and commercial property team.
I am a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association and have a passion for, and particular expertise with, agricultural property transactions. I am aware of the opportunities available to rural and agricultural businesses and an understanding of the challenges and difficulties they often face. I offer perceptive and pragmatic guidance to help farmers, agricultural tenants, rural landowners and businesses make the most of those opportunities and face the challenges.
I can assist with the following agricultural and rural property transactions:
- Agricultural Holdings Acts tenancies, including surrenders, statutory notices and re-grants;
- Biodiversity net gain agreements, conservation covenants and section 106 planning agreements;
- Easements and wayleave agreements;
- Farm business tenancies;
- First registrations of property;
- Grazing licences, grass keeps and equestrian leases;
- Landlord and tenant business leases and licences;
- Overage, option and pre-emption agreements;
- Renewable energy projects, including battery storage;
- Sales, purchases and re-financing ;
- Sporting rights and profits a prendre;
- Telecommunications leases;
- Quarries and mineral leases, easements and licences;
- Woodlands.
When I am not working, I love reading and spending time with my dogs or in my shed, where I have built up an impressive collection of old (but incredibly useful) silversmithing tools. I am particularly fond of Doris, my ancient fly press.
