Tessa Charles

After obtaining my BSc in Business Management at Swansea University and my MSc in Human Resource Management at Cardiff University thereafter, I joined the Employment team at Redkite in October 2019 as a Legal Advisor.

I began my career as a HR Graduate at Dragon LNG and gained experience whereby I supported the HR Manager on all people related issues. During my time as a HR Graduate I acted on a variety of projects ranging from implementing a renewal of the Annual Performance Appraisal system, creating and implementing the annual Employee Engagement Survey and supported the HR Manager on the implementation of policy changes in light of the General Data Protection Regulations Act 2018.

As a Legal Advisor I deal with a wide range of contentious and non-contentious Employment and HR related issues including advice on policies and procedure, contractual issues, disciplinaries and grievances and performance management. I also assist in drafting our quarterly Employment newsletter to our clients, whilst also delivering training to a wide range of our clients through workshops and interactive seminars.

I am also CIPD Level 7 and CMI Level 5 qualified.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travelling in and outside of the UK and reading a good book along the way
