Chloe Smothers

Solicitor

I joined Redkite Solicitors in 2023 as a solicitor in the Wills and Probate and Trusts department, having qualified in September 2022. I am also an affiliate member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and am currently working towards full STEP membership, to further enhance my specialist knowledge and expertise in this area.

I advise clients on a broad range of private client matters, including drafting complex wills, lasting powers of attorney, discretionary trust deeds, deeds of retirement and appointment, and flexible life interest trusts. I also guide families through the probate process, administer both taxable and non-taxable estates, provide inheritance tax planning advice, and manage trust investments and accounts on behalf of both professional and lay trustees.

I understand that many of the matters I deal with arise during some of the most difficult and emotional times in a person’s life. I therefore approach every client with empathy and patience, taking the time to understand their individual circumstances and tailor my advice to their needs. My aim is to provide clear, compassionate, and consistent guidance that offers reassurance and peace of mind, and I take genuine pride in helping clients navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming and challenging time.
