ED&I
Our Commitment
At Redkite Solicitors, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to succeed. We recognise that Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion are essential to building a strong, supportive culture for our people and delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion is not about treating everyone as if they were the same. It's about recognising and valuing the difference and ideas that each individual can bring to the firm.
We aim to foster an environment where individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences can contribute fully and feel confident in being themselves at work.
Why It Matters
As a firm serving communities across Wales and England, we understand the importance of reflecting the diversity of the people we support. The legal profession has not always been accessible or representative, and we believe it is important to help drive positive change.
By embracing a wide range of perspectives and experiences, we strengthen our ability to provide practical, empathetic, and effective legal advice tailored to our clients’ needs.
Our Focus Areas
Inclusive Recruitment
We are working to attract talent from a wide range of backgrounds by:
- Promoting opportunities across diverse networks and communities
- Reviewing recruitment practices to reduce bias
- Supporting entry routes into the legal profession
Supporting Our People
Creating an inclusive workplace goes beyond hiring. We aim to:
- Provide mentoring and development opportunities at all levels
- Support flexible and agile working and will continue to promote our flexible working framework
- Ensure fair and transparent career pathways at all levels
Building an Inclusive Culture
We are committed to fostering an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves:
- Encouraging open conversations and awareness around inclusion
- Providing training on equality, diversity, and unconscious bias
- Maintaining policies that promote respect and zero tolerance for discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.
Community Engagement
As part of our role in the community, we:
- Support local initiatives and organisations
- Provide pro bono and accessible legal services where possible
- Engage with schools and colleges to raise awareness of careers in law
Accountability & Progress
We recognise that meaningful progress requires transparency and accountability. Under the requirements of the SRA we publish diversity data every two years. You can read our 2025 Diversity Data here. We further publish our Gender Pay Gap report which you can read here
We know we cannot be complacent in ensuring that EDI remains front of mind,
our focus is always on continuous improvement, listening to our people, learning from best practice, and taking practical steps forward.
Leadership & Responsibility
Our leadership team supports our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and we are working to embed these principles across all areas of the firm. Responsibility for progress is shared across the business, ensuring that ED&I is part of how we operate every day, not a standalone initiative.
