Supporting the communities we serve

At Redkite Solicitors, we believe our responsibility extends beyond providing expert legal advice. As a firm with deep roots in the communities we serve, we’re committed to making a positive and lasting difference through charitable giving, fundraising, volunteering, strategic partnerships and supporting organisations that improve lives across Wales and the South West.

Whether we’re helping clients leave charitable legacies, raising money through the Enfys Foundation, supporting local charities or using our expertise to bring organisations together, we’re proud to play our part in strengthening the communities we serve.

Our approach

Community involvement is part of our culture. Across every office, our people support causes that matter to them and the local communities they work within.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility activity focuses on:

The Enfys Foundation

The Enfys Foundation is the charitable arm of Redkite Solicitors and sits at the heart of our fundraising activity.

Made up of colleagues from across the firm, the Foundation coordinates fundraising initiatives, considers requests for support and distributes funds to charities and community organisations operating in the areas we serve.

The Foundation enables colleagues across our offices to support causes close to their hearts while ensuring the money we raise has a meaningful impact on local communities.

Making a difference

Our commitment to our communities takes many forms.

Supporting charitable legacies

Helping clients leave a lasting legacy is an important part of the work we do.

Since administering our first charitable legacy gift to Wales Air Ambulance in November 2012, we have overseen 29 legacy gifts with a combined value of more than £1.1 million, helping to ensure our clients’ wishes continue to make a difference long into the future.

Wales Air Ambulance said:

“Redkite has provided outstanding support to our charity and has undertaken the administration of their clients’ legacy gifts to the charity totalling £1.1 million over many years. That’s the equivalent to the cost of 285 missions carried out by helicopter.”

Running monthly support groups

In November 2024 our personal injury and clinical negligence team partnered with Headway UK to launch Neuro Connect Carmarthen. The group meets on a monthly basis giving those living with head injuries the opportunity to meet, socialise and share their stories. Creating spaces where people can connect, access support and feel heard it what this group is all about and is a great example of a partnership in action. 

A group member said:

"The last year has totally helped me joining NeuroConnect. Meeting like minded people and feeling important again. This group has been the best thing since my stroke 7 years ago"

Supporting life-saving charities

We’re proud to work alongside organisations delivering essential services within our communities.

As part of our partnership with Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we have supported the charity through dedicated Will-writing campaigns, helping people plan for the future while raising awareness and supporting a vital emergency service across Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire. 

Building partnerships that create lasting impact

Our role often extends beyond legal advice.

We were proud to help facilitate the strategic partnership between Bluestone National Park Resort and Latch Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity, enabling families affected by childhood cancer to benefit from restorative holidays in a safe and supportive environment.

Commenting on the partnership, Menai Owen-Jones, CEO of Latch, said:

This reflects the way we work with charities and organisations beyond traditional legal services, using our expertise and networks to help create opportunities that benefit our communities.

Looking ahead

We’re continually developing our Corporate Social Responsibility programme and how we measure the impact we make.

As we continue to grow, we’ll be sharing more about the charities we support, the partnerships we build, the funds we raise through the Enfys Foundation and the difference our colleagues, clients and communities make together.
