Clare Tregoning

I joined Redkite in September 2025 and am a Partner in the General Dispute Resolution and Property Litigation Team.

My strong background in commercial dispute resolution coupled with my extensive experience in commercial property litigation allows me to advise clients on complex, often sensitive disputes where a clear strategy and a practical understanding of the client’s commercial objectives are essential.

My commercial property litigation experience is supported by a broader commercial litigation practice, enabling me to look beyond the immediate legal issues and drill down into what a client really needs from the dispute resolution process. I am known for taking a thoughtful, client-focused approach, translating technical legal issues into clear, practical advice and working with clients to identify outcomes that are both legally robust and commercially viable. At an early stage, I like to get to know my clients and will work hard to establish what they are looking to achieve from litigation. I take time at the outset to understand a client’s priorities, concerns and wider commercial context, allowing me to provide advice that is tailored, strategic and grounded in the client’s desired outcome.

As a CEDR trained mediator, I bring a calm, empathetic and solutions-focused perspective to my work. My mediation training enhances my ability to listen carefully, understand competing interests and explore constructive routes to resolution wherever possible. This complements my experience as a litigator: while I am committed to resolving disputes efficiently and proportionately, I am equally prepared to take firm and decisive action where litigation is necessary and I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and step into the fray should litigation become necessary

Clients value my empathetic nature and my ability to combine technical expertise with a genuine understanding of the pressures that disputes can place on individuals and businesses.

In August 2021, I was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and sit on the Wales Circuit.

Outside of work (with what little spare time I have as a Mum to two very busy and active children!) I am a keen netballer and enjoy getting outside with my family and my precocious sausage dog. I also Chair the Board of Trustees of Swansea Women's Aid and am passionate about helping women in need in Swansea and the surrounding areas.
