Emily Gray

I am a specialist Court of Protection Paralegal, which means I look after the day-to-day property and financial affairs for clients who are unable to do so themselves due to age, illness, or disability where Red Kite are appointed by the Court as a Professional Deputy or by the Donor themselves under a Power of Attorney.

My background in Litigation as a Personal Injury Paralegal allows me to really understand how cognitive injuries impact my client’s day to day life and their families. My role consists of forming part of a wider MDT for a client, maintaining, and improving my client’s quality of life from a financial perspective. Building relationships with families, social workers, case managers and of course my clients themselves. I take huge satisfaction safeguarding my clients’ assets from fraud, exploitation and working with the Deputy/Attorney with the IFAs to maximise clients’ assets through wealth management.

My role allows me to become a part of my client’s day to day life and a member of their extended family, which is a great privilege.

As a qualified COP Paralegal, I also prepare applications to the Court for Statutory Wills, Appeals, lay-deputy appointments, Best Interests decisions and one-off decisions when P lacks mental capacity.

In my spare time I enjoy fitness, travelling, reading, and I am often found in the local park walking with my beagle.
