Fiona Mayes

As a Legal Advisor within the Redkite Family Team my main role is to provide support and assistance to the Solicitors within the department. I often find myself the first point of contact for new clients and understand how important it is to get to the facts of the particular issue our client is facing, whilst maintaining a sympathetic and approachable manner.

Having worked at Redkite since 2002 I have over a decade of experience in dealing with all types of family law issues, from divorce to child custody cases, and, working across our offices in both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, I am ideally placed to accept a wide variety of instructions from clients across the geographical area served by Redkite.

All work undertaken by Legal Advisors such as myself is supervised by a qualified solicitor so clients have the security of knowing that their matter will be conducted in accordance with the Firm’s customary high standards.

I graduated from of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with an honours degree in archaeology and have held a variety of jobs in the public, private, and charity sectors over the years. These include a spell with the Crown Prosecution Service; several years with Business in the Community, (one of HRH the Prince of Wales’ charities); and 7 years with the Church of England.

I live in Pembrokeshire with my husband and our two adult children, and can often been seen out and about at local equestrian events (usually acting as unpaid groom and lorry driver!). In my spare time I enjoy writing and have recently signed a contract to have my first historical work of fiction published by a US publishing company (under a pseudonym of course!)

I am fully committed to the values held by Redkite and am a firm believer in the need to provide excellent service to our clients at competitive rates. Many of the firm’s family clients come to my department when they are coping with painful, stressful and emotional circumstances and I am dedicated to helping them through their experiences so they are able to move forward with their lives.

Extremely helpful, fast and efficient service; delighted with the care received
