Isabel Francis

Solicitor

I joined Redkite’s Will, Trust and Estate Disputes team in 2025, having worked predominantly in civil litigation for 5 years.

I qualified as a Solicitor in November 2023 with a background in a variety of areas of litigation, including professional and clinical negligence, property litigation, and personal injury claims. I now specialise in disputes involving wills, trusts and estates, including claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

I have the best interests of my clients at heart, and I strive to make a difference at such a challenging time in their lives.

I have a passion for helping those in need, and I have previously been involved in high-profile enquiries, including the Infected Blood Inquiry, hearing the voices of individuals and their families affected by the use of infected blood products in the UK.

I have previously been heavily involved in the pro bono sector, having dedicated voluntary hours to Swansea University Law Clinic, providing initial pro bono legal advice to clients and founding the clinic’s community outreach provision by creating links between different agencies to ensure that individuals who are in need of access to justice can receive the help that they need.

I have given evidence to the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee in the National Assembly of Wales on the Legislation (Wales) Bill and Law Wales (Cyfraith Cymru), having regard as to why there needs to be better access to legal resources for members of the general population who have no access to justice, as well as promoting accessibility to devolved Welsh law.

I have received various accolades for my work, including the Law Works and Attorney General Pro Bono award, and the Diana Award as recognition for my social action and humanitarian work, the highest accolade a person between the ages of 9 to 25 can receive. I have also met with the former US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to discuss the importance of access to legal services within the UK legal sector.

In my spare time, I enjoy running, being a part of a local running club Tri Hard Harriers. I have a particular passion for long-distance running, having taken on the challenge of ultra-marathons. I also enjoy attending Parkrun every Saturday and I have a fondness for ‘Parkrun Tourism’, having (until a new one starts up!) completed all the Parkruns in South Wales. You may also find me swimming and playing tennis.
