Darren Hek

After almost two decades of running and managing a law firm, taking it from a fledgling practice to a multi-million pound turnover business employing over 60 staff I was excited to join Redkite in February 2024  with the goal of helping grow and develop the Property Department in Cardiff and the wider South Wales region.

Throughout my career I have gained a wealth of technical, legal and practical knowledge in both residential conveyancing and commercial property, having consistently juggled managing and developing a business with running a full and varied caseload. I have counted amongst my clients everyone from first time buyers to directors of FTSE 100 companies, high street shop owners to regional and national housebuilders.

I have strong leadership skills and particularly enjoy building successful and long-lasting professional relationships with colleagues and business partners alike.

I have a commercial and practical approach to problem solving and always strive to achieve the best possible result for all parties whether that’s within a property transaction or in business relationships with our partners.

Outside of work I am a Non-Executive Director of Pontypridd United Football Club who play in the Welsh Cymru Premier League, the highest division in Wales.

I like to travel and keep fit by regularly attending the gym and walking anywhere and everywhere whenever possible no matter what the weather decides to do. I have a young family who keep me busy while I strive to entertain and annoy them in equal measures with some great dad jokes.
