Gail Shipton

I am a Wills and Probate Executive within the Redkite Wills and Probate Department.

I have over 40 years’ experience of working in Solicitors offices, having started work in 1978 after completing a Business Studies Diploma.

I joined Redkite in 1992 and I am based in the Whitland office. I live in Whitland and have considerable local knowledge of the area, people and past events, which I believe helps me to be approachable to local clients.

I have worked in several of the firm’s departments but for the past few years I have worked solely in the Wills and Probate Department dealing with Wills, Probates and Lasting Powers of Attorney.  I assist Mathew Bowen, who is the Head of the Wills and Probate Department, in all client matters, as well as having my own workload and dealing with Probate and estate files myself.

I see clients as and when required by them, to assist with anything they need and, due to my experience, I feel that I am well qualified to offer this help. I believe we offer an efficient and sympathetic service to our clients who are often dealing with distressing and difficult situations, as many are recently bereaved. I strive to help with any difficulties which our clients’ encounter to the best of my ability and to treat everyone with the same patience and understanding.

In my spare time I enjoy taking holidays, gardening, dressmaking and knitting. I have recently become a grandmother so now as much of my spare time as possible is spent with my grandson.”

A very friendly personal experience. All of your staff treat people like human beings not numbers - very rare these days, thank you.
