Kate Kurtz

I joined Red Kite Solicitors in June 2023 as an Associate Solicitor within the Commercial Property department (based in the Cardiff office). I qualified as a solicitor in October 2015, having worked for a leading commercial firm in Manchester for 8 years.

I have experience in acting for a variety of clients including: restaurants, cafes, bars, start-ups, pension funds, family estates and owner managed businesses. I have acted for clients in multiple sectors including: hospitality, gyms, medical research, property investment, business consultancy services and medical supply chains.

I have experience in:

  • The negotiation of commercial leases, licences to assign or sublet, licences for alterations (and any other letting documents). I act for both landlords and tenants;
  • The acquisition and disposal of commercial properties for investment or development purposes (and mortgages of commercial properties);
  • Wayleave agreements;
  • Transfers of land and property and property due diligence and negotiation within corporate transactions (share or asset sales and purchases)

I enjoy working closely with businesses and individuals to understand their commercial and personal objectives. I like to be practical and transparent from the outset, in order to tailor advice to achieve a client’s desired goals.

Outside of work I spend my time outdoors at the beach, Castles and parks with my two young children and I enjoy running (and if persuaded dancing) with friends.
